MMP - Google Keep

What a great discovery! After using Wunderlist, Evernote and OneNote I think I've found the one. (A nod to The Matrix) Google Keep is a very simple but a powerful note taking app available for Android or iOS devices.

Capabilities
Recording: Use Google Keep to record voice memos. Open the app, click on the mic icon at bottom of the screen and record away. After recording the memo, a screen will pop up with the text of your message and an audio file.

Reminders: Set up reminders by selecting a note and click the finger icon (it has a string on the finger) located at the top of the screen. A pop-up will give you options to set reminders. The reminders will alert in Google Calendar, just make sure to have your reminders enabled in your calendar app. I really like that the reminders can be location-based or time-based.

Add Labels: Add and create labels using #hashtags.

Colour Code: Organize your notes by colour-coding. Select the three dots menu at the bottom of the app and choose from an assortment of colours. Colour code by task or deadline.

Sketch: If you are of a creative bent, sketch your note. Select the pen icon at the bottom of the app to draw, colour, shade, and more.

Photo a note: Snap a photo of a slide deck. Great now you have a saved photo. A couple of weeks later all you can remember is that the photo contains the word "mandatory".  It easy for you find on Keep by searching for the word contained within the image.

Web Browsing: Create notes while you browse by downloading the Chrome Extension, and save the site URL with the note. You now have a note in context.

Sending Notes: Click on the three dots at the bottom right corner of the app and select send. Now choose the app you want to share your note with.

Sharing: Share |Collaborate your shopping list with friends or family and watch as the items on the list get checked off.

Sync: Everything you add to Keep syncs across your devices - phone, computer and tablet.

I've only touched on a small sample of the nifty things to do with Keep. Test it our yourself, but I think you might be pleasantly surprised by its capabilities.
