Library Files - Finding Forms & Precedents

Library Files - Finding Forms & Precedents

Forms and Precedents: What are they and why do I need them?
Precedents are templates of common legal documents. These include legal agreements, court pleadings, court forms, etc., and can save you time from having to create a document from scratch. The library has hundreds of precedents that will fit almost every need. Even if you can’t find just the right document, you can combine two or even three precedents together into one document. If you have trouble finding any of the precedents in the collection, don’t hesitate to ask to ask for help. Here is run down of some of the key Forms & Precedents available in the library or online.

Canadian Forms and Precedents on Quicklaw (in-library shortcut on desktop) contains a large selection of forms and precedents for Canada, covering all major subjects and  areas such as Banking & Finance, Commercial Tenancies, Corporations, Debtor-Creditor, Employment, Information Technology, Intellectual Property, Land Development, Licensing, Municipal Law,  Ontario Court Forms-Williston & Rolls, Sale & Operation of a Business, The Practitioner's Criminal Precedents, 2nd Edition (Gold), Sale, Distribution & Transport of Goods, and Wills & Estates.
